I fell for ambient as a teenager, listening to “Music from the Hearts of Space” on WNYC Public Radio late at night. As I lay in bed I absorbed the sounds of overtone singing and resonant spaces — lessons I practiced in the concrete stairwells at school. And I developed trombone techniques to expand my sonic range. In the mid-2020s I bought a looper and since then have applied these experiences to create the warm, enveloping soundscapes here.
